This documentation is for a place called hell. Don't take what you're going to read lightly. If what you read is true — YOU COULD BE IN SERIOUS DANGER!

The Bible continually warns of a place called hell. There are over 162 references in the New Testament alone which warns of hell. And over 70 of these references were uttered by the Lord Jesus Christ!

22 . . . the rich man also died, and was buried;
23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house:
28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. (Luke 16:22-28)

Hebrew: she�ol (HSN-7585), the unseen world; the place of departed spirits—not the
grave, the place for a body. This word is used in both 1 Kings 2:6 and 1 Kings 2:9. It
might appear at first that it could refer to the grave, the note on Hell, proves why it
couldn't. This should be understood in the same sense as the rich man in Hades (GSN-
86) (Luke 16:19-31). He was in She'ol/Hades with his spiritual bodily parts. The inner
man is as real as the physical body, having spiritual parts that fit into the physical. The
rich man in hell had eyes and other bodily parts, as well as full consciousness while out
of his body. Hence, the word should have been translated hell instead of grave.

• The man in Luke 16:24 cries: ". . .I am tormented in this FLAME."
• In Matthew 13:42, Jesus says: "And shall cast them into a FURNACE OF FIRE: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth."
• In Matthew 25:41, Jesus says: "Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting FIRE"
• Revelation 20:15 says, " And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the LAKE OF FIRE."
  
  YES! THERE IS A PLACE CALLED HELL!

Hell is a terrible place. It is so terrible that I don't think words can accurately describe the eternal horrors faced by the lost. Hell is such a terrible place that in order to provide salvation God became a man, died on the cross, rose from the dead in payment for our sins. God paid the ultimate price in order to provide salvation from an eternity in hell. He now leaves men and women with an eternal decision to make. The entire issue is with sin. God is a Holy God and sins MUST be paid for. Either a person accepts the Lord Jesus and allows Him to pay for his sins ... OR ... a person may freely reject the Lord Jesus and salvation and choose to pay for his sins himself. The penalty for sins is death, eternal death and separations from God. The Lord Jesus already paid that penalty but if a person wants to reject Him then the penalty still must be paid. Either the Lord Jesus is your Saviour or you choose to pay for your sins yourself. It really is as simple as that. This tract will give a description of what the Bible says about Hell, the lake of fire. Hell is the eternal destination of the lost. It is a place of eternal torments, darkness, weeping, pain, and gnashing of teeth. Hell is not a funny or a light subject. It is deadly serious. Consider that as you read below the Biblical description of what hell will be like:

YES! THERE IS A PLACE CALLED HELL!

Revelation 14:10 says, " . . . and he shall be tormented with fire and BRIMSTONE . . ." And Job 18 describes the " . . . PLACE of him that knoweth not God" (vs 21), in verse 15 as, " . . . BRIMSTONE shall be scattered upon his habitation."

Jesus says of the man in Luke 16:

23 "And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in TORMENTS. . . "
24 ". . . for I am TORMENTED in this FLAME."
28 ". . .PLACE OF TORMENT

It is humanly impossible to comprehend the Bible description of hell. Nothing on earth can compare with it. No nightmare could produce a terror to match that of hell. No horror movie could describe it’s fright. No crime scene with all it’s blood and gore could begin to match it’s horror.

The Bible describes it as weeping (Matt 8:12), wailing (Matt 13:42), gnashing of teeth (Matt 13:50), darkness (Matt 25:30), flames (Luke 16:24), burning (Isa 33:14), torments (Luke 16:23), everlasting punishment! Jesus Christ says in Matthew 25:41, "Depart from me, ye cursed, into EVERLASTING FIRE, prepared for the devil and his angels."

In Matthew 13:42, Jesus says: "And shall cast them into a FURNACE OF FIRE: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth."

All who enter hell — abandon all hope!

HELL IS A BURNING LAKE OF FIRE "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." (Rev 20:15) "Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast [them] from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire. And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast [it] from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire." (Matthew 18:8,9)

HELL IS A BOTTOMLESS PIT. And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand." (Rev 21:1)

HELL IS A HORRIBLE TEMPEST - A PLACE FOR THE WICKED "Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: [this shall be] the portion of their cup." (Psalms 11:6)

HELL IS A DEVOURING FIRE "The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?" (Isaiah 33:14)

HELL IS A PLACE OF DAMNATION "[Ye] serpents, [ye] generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?" (Matthew 23:33)

HELL IS A PLACE OF SORROWS AND DESPAIR "The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me." (Psalms 18:5)

HELL IS A PLACE OF WEEPING AND GNASHING OF TEETH "But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." (Matthew 8:12) "And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth." (Matthew 13:42) "Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast [him] into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." (Matthew 22:13) "And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." (Matthew 25:30) "And shall cut him asunder, and appoint [him] his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." (Matthew 24:51)

HELL IS A PLACE OF ETERNAL TORMENTS "And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom." (Luke 16:23) "And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name." (Revelation 14:11) "And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet [are], and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever." (Revelation 20:10)

HELL IS A FURNACE OF FIRE "And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth." (Matthew 13:42) "If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast [them] into the fire, and they are burned." (John 15:6)

HELL IS A PLACE OF DESTRUCTION "Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;" (2 Thessalonians 1:9)

HELL IS A PLACE WHERE THEY WILL CURSE GOD "And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds." (Revelation 16:11)

HELL IS A PLACE OF OUTER DARKNESS "But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." (Matthew 8:12)

HELL IS A PLACE OF EVERLASTING PUNISHMENT "And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal." (Matthew 25:46)

HELL IS A PLACE OF EVERLASTING FIRE "Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast [them] from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire." (Matthew 18:8) "And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:" (Mark 9:43)

HELL IS A PLACE OF ETERNAL SEPARATION FROM GOD "Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;" (2 Thessalonians 1:9)

HELL IS A PLACE OF UNQUENCHABLE ETERNAL FIRE "Whose fan [is] in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire." (Matthew 3:12)

HELL IS A PLACE OF ETERNAL DAMNATION "But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:" (Mark 3:29)

HELL IS A PLACE WHERE THEY GNAW THEIR TONGUES FOR PAIN "And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain," (Revelation 16:10)

HELL IS A PLACE OF BLACKNESS AND DARKNESS FOREVER "Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever." (Jude 1:13)

HELL IS A PLACE PREPARED FOR THE DEVIL AND HIS ANGELS --- BUT MEN STILL GO THERE BY CHOICE! "Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:" (Matthew 25:41)

HELL IS A PLACE OF TORMENT IN FIRE "And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame." (Luke 16:24)

HELL IS A PLACE WHERE THEY WILL BE TORMENTED WITH BRIMSTONE AND FIRE "The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:" (Revelation 14:10)

HELL IS A PLACE FOR THE WICKED WHO WILL BE JUDGED "Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men." (Psalms 139:19) "The wicked shall see [it], and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish." (Psalms 112:10) "When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; [it is] that they shall be destroyed for ever:" (Psalms 92:7) "But thou, O God, shalt bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in thee." (Psalms 55:23) "For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb." (Psalms 37:2) "For yet a little while, and the wicked [shall] not [be]: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it [shall] not [be]." (Psalms 37:10) "And I will punish the world for [their] evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible." (Isaiah 13:11)

HELL IS A PLACE FOR THOSE WHO HAVE REJECTED THE LORD JESUS AND HIS WORK DONE ON THE CROSS "Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?" (Hebrews 10:29) "How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard [him];" (Hebrews 2:3)

HELL IS THE SECOND DEATH - 1ST DEATH IS PHYSICAL - 2ND DEATH IS SPIRITUAL SEPARATION FROM GOD FOREVER "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death." (Revelation 21:8)

HELL IS THE DESTINATION OF THOSE WHO LOVE AND DO SIN (WORKERS OF INIQUITY) "When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all [ye] workers of iniquity." (Luke 13:25-27)

HELL IS A PLACE TO FEAR GOING TO "But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him." (Luke 12:5)

Well that is quite a description of hell isn't it.

Hell certainly is a place to be avoided at all costs.

What could possibly be worth eternity in hell? No wonder Jesus Christ warned so much about hell! No wonder Jesus said in Mark 8:36, "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and LOSE HIS OWN SOUL?"

Jesus Christ took hell very serious. . .

Jesus Christ says in Mark 9:43-47,

43 And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
45 And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
47 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:

it is appointed unto man once to die . . .
